Performers:
Bob Cairns - Lil - Sally - Adam - Hilary - Alison - Josh Jackson - James

Comments:

Act One
There's quite a host of new faces here tonight as Bob begins with the almost inevitable " Got It Bad"

JBOM regular Chris Greenwood, who is steadily building quite a reputation on the local circuit, follows with the familiar "Tease Me" and "Smooth Rivers, Stronger Spirits".

Next up is the first new face,Lil, who offers us a couple of her own worthy compositions, "It Happened In A Dream" and "The Cold".

There's a bit of a surprise now as Sally, who is a regular down here on Wednesdays, boldly makes her JBOM debut singing a cappella. Fighting back the nerves, she bravely takes us through the traditional "10000 Miles" and then follows up with Janis Joplin's "The Rose" which starts a bit shakily but gathers in strength along the way.

Following Sally are two more new faces, brother and sister act Adam and Hilary. Hilary has a pleasant enough voice but it's not the strongest and gets lost at times behind some quite impressive guitar interplay as they treat us to Paramore's "Crush,Crush,Crush" and Evanescence's "Call Me When You're Sober". Hilary wants to do two more but unfortunately time is too tight. Maybe they'll come back one night.

Keeping it a family affair, Adam is joined by his mum, Alison and it soon becomes evident that Alison is no stranger to performing in public. Brimming with confidence, she grabs hold of Four Non Blondes' "What's Up?" and belts it out across the room. It would interesting to learn a little more about this talented family.

That just leaves time for Bob and Josh to fill in a gap and take us to the break with "Dance Your Dance".

Act Two
Another newcomer, James, opens the second half. He seems rather nervous but makes a tidy job of "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" and "A Simple Twist Of Fate".
